I began volunteering officially January of 1985. This is my 35th year. It’s just the feeling I have to be able to make a difference. A smile and a pat on the back and just a listening ear makes all the difference. Joann is just a special person. She’s quiet, she’s gentle, she’s loving, friendly caring and she just truly loves our residents, loves our staff, loves our facility and just wants to mak Ambassador a better place. It gives you the greatest reward. Jump in. Take a chance. Give it a try. see if you like it. It can make a difference. We wouldn’t be able to do half of the things we do without our volunteers. We can train you, we can tell you want you need to do, show you what you need to do. You just have to truly want to help other people.
