  1. Okay, as someone living in a small town in Illinois (though not Minooka), that was priceless.

Also? The cornfields are srsly real folks. You have no idea. If you nuked my state, the fallout would be pretty tasty with butter and salt. I'm just saying.

  2. And on April 9th, be sure to stop by Minooka Park and purchase a $20 ticket for our annual raffle from Ed Troomby. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Ed is the "lucky" fella who has both run and won the raffle the past 12 years in a row. Ed is also the proud owner of that ostentatious mini mansion on Shady Lane.

  3. Really funny! Thought the first one felt more lika a parody of local Channels, this one is just jokes about the town.

  4. You big city folk have no idea. I'm a graduate of Minooka High School, now one town over in Morris (the one with the Walgreens). We just got a Buffalo Wild Wings, huge deal people! Lol

  5. WOW.. I´ve been here from the very first video. I remember when this channel had less than 10.000 subscribers.

  6. Lived there for years. When Minooka got a Jewel Osco grocery store, the highschool band played at the grand opening to celebrate.

It is exactly as pathetic as it sounds.

  7. I just realized there's a late show & stephen description at the bottom and its freaking hillarious.

  8. Living in a small town in Nova Scotia scored me a hug at the grocery store today. Thanks for these segments. I feel less alone out here when they air.

  9. LOL this is hilarious. I live two houses down from Nick's parents. His mom brought us cookies when we first moved in. VERY nice people!

  10. Stephen, it's Illinois not Illinoise. Like I'm going to ANNOY you until you say it correctly. LOL! — from Morris, Illinois

  11. I was pretty surprised when I found out he was from Minooka. I dated a girl from Channahon in college, and have visited the area a handful of times. Of course, my hometown of Libertyville can claim Marlon Brando as one of its own, but Ron f*cking Swanson is pretty great, too 😎

  12. Aw yeah, Morris, IL represent. I can't think of a better place to hold an event than the parking lot behind the Walgreens on Route 47. Perhaps that's because there aren't a whole lot of other places in Morris.

  13. This sketch is so perfect for a community calendar of a "city" in the U.P.! Only problem…who's famous enough from Marquette, Escanaba, or Houghton?

  14. I remember when Minooka got their very first stop light. The town was soo small, they really didn't need one. Glad to see it got some national publicity.

  15. I used to live in Joliet, which is close to Minooka. I never realized that I used to live close to such a legend!

  16. I had a hard time believing this was real, especially the Shrimp Barn, so I googled it and sure enough http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-shrimp-barn-minooka

  17. Love the faded, washed out colour of their skin-tone on this set . Gives the actual feeling of REALLY being in Minooka after a long, cold, Illinois winter, indoors. Glad I watched this twice! Missed so much first time around, which happens in Illinois!

  18. I assume I went to high school with a nephew or something of his back in 05'-09'. His last name was Offerman and he lived a town over Minooka (Shorewood, IL)

  19. I go to Minooka Community High School. The Same school he did. They both say Minooka weirdly. We say it Mih-noo-kuh. The say it Mih-new-kuh. Weird.

  20. Form the mid-west and then moved to LA for 7 years. LA made me miss the mid-west's nice people along with breathable open spaces so I moved back. No desire to go back to California.
