Health inequality – #leavenoonebehind

My name is Michael Sullivan I am from the Down Syndrome Advisory Network Everyone deserves access to good health care. Our health counts too. What needs to change is to get to know us take your time to for us to be able to say what our health is and to give us time to explain so we can be able to let you know ourselves Know us before we come in and see you look at our records It’s about knowing what Down syndrome is as compared to say another disability. We are all individuals. What’s ok for one person may not be for the other. People with Down syndrome have the right to the same quality of health care as the rest of the community. Government must tackle the health inequalities that currently exist. Go to the Down Syndrome Australia website for more information about our advocacy work.
