Google’s EU data centre community: Stories from Europe

[SPEAKING FRENCH] SAMI TAKKANEN:
[SPEAKING FINNISH] KAY O’CONNOR: Through our
conversations with Google, we explained what South
County partnership does, and the range of
different programs that we do. Our main aim is to tackle
poverty and social exclusion within South County Dublin. And Google have very similar
ethos and a way of working. So they were very forthcoming,
in terms of putting forward some funding in order to set
up a specific project that was going to help young people,
and to hopefully inspire young people to get involved
in the world of work and to do different courses
and programs in order to better themselves. EMMANUEL HOUDART:
[SPEAKING FRENCH] SHANE NOLAN: I think,
if we look at Ireland’s economic development
going back 50 years, there’s always been a symbolic
investment which defined an industry or defined an era. And Google certainly
did that for the kind of big internet brands. [MUSIC PLAYING] JOOST DE BOER: [SPEAKING DUTCH] [MUSIC PLAYING]

  2. Search on google
