Bradford City of Culture 2025 – the bid begins

Bradford is a city of constant stimulation,
it’s always challenging you and asking you questions Bradford is a city of joy, and it is home
away from home Bradford is a city of innovation and that’s
industrial innovation and creative and artistic innovation Bradford is a city of the world Bradford is a city of doers Yeah, it is a city of doers and darers People who dare to do Bradford to me is the city of entertainment Bradford is a place where we don’t cut the
crust, we don’t mind the gap, we dare to look back, our horses are bare back Bradford is a city of stories that need to
be told For me, Bradford is a city of the people Bradford is a city of expression, that’s
what I’d say it is Bradford now is a city of rich history, and
some of those histories can come back. Some of those histories can come back. You know
what I mean? In Bradford there’s a massive passion for
cars. It’s what brings people together in Bradford, it’s why Bradford is the city
of cars. For me, because of its history and current
employment, Bradford is a city of textile opportunities. Bradford is a city of faith. Many faiths. Bradford to me is a city of film. Bradford is a city of diversity. A city of beautiful audiences. Possibility. Radicals. Team spirit. Fun. Madness. Reinvention. Pride. Opportunity. The spark to my fire.

  1. big up Bradford moved to London 35 years ago but growing up in that mad bubble of diversity. Back in the day with punk we had a lot of mates from London who fell in love with the people of Bradford. Never competing like leeds or manchester we did our own thing and did it with style. It also sent me on a journey of music from my punk roots we embraced reggae big time with roots records at the hub, blues of maningham and clubs like the palm cove.

That took me from listening to the music of Jamaica in Bradford to Kingston and walking down orange st and Brentford Road like a kid in a sweet shop. Without Bradford I would not have the life I have had. Without the culture I would not have had the joy of life I have had. Bradford is culture that can give the world a lot good luck.

One last thing please keep central library open. I re educated myself in there and opened my passion for jazz and soul in the music part. To have access to culture you need a place like central library to be the centre of reference

  2. BRADFORD IS NOT A CITY OF JOY DONT PUSH THE BULLSHIT. A DUMP. ITS NOT AN ENGLISH CITY. ITS FULL OF CRIMINALS AND NOT SAFE. IT ONLY HAS ONE CULTURE.
