Boyz n the Hood (8/8) Movie CLIP – Don’t Know, Don’t Show (1991) HD

Wassup? ‘Sup. Yo, cuz. I – I know why you got out the car last night. Shouldn’t have been there in the first place. You don’t want that shit to come back to haunt you. I ain’t been up this early in a long time. Turned on the TV this morning. Had this shit on about… about living in a violent… a violent world. Showed all these foreign places. Where foreigners live and all. I started thinkin’, man. Either they don’t know, don’t show, or don’t care about what’s goin’ on in the hood. They had all this foreign shit. They ain’t have shit on my brother, man. I ain’t got no brother. Got no mother, neither. She loved that fool more than she loved me.

  1. Part where he says " ain't got no mother either "…. Epitome of my life growing up in the hood all my years smh….

  2. AT 1:06 NOTICE TYE MOSQUITO ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SCREEN NEXT TO HIS HEAD

  3. Damn I thought he was going to live but RIP doughboy but when tre also said you still got one brother left man made me just wanna tear up hella bad😥🙏

  4. As someone who is growing up in a very nice neighborhood I know 99%of my classmates and teachers don’t know what it’s really like. Although I grew up in suburbs, I have family from the hood,And only when I met them two years ago I learned how hard it is. And the worst part is most Americans don’t know, because schools, news, adults etc avoid bringing it up.

  5. WE CAN’T LOSE JOHN SINGLETON….PRAYING FOR HIM 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️

  6. Mr. Singleton, Thank you for creating "Boyz-N-The-Hood" and all of your other contributes such as "Poetic Justice" and "Higher Learning." BNTH still speaks volumes 'till this day. It's obvious that you knowed, showed, and cared. Rest In Power.

  7. It’s so sad how the mother projected her hatred for Doughboys father on to him. Meanwhile she treated Ricky like a King. Either Ricky’s father was good to her or she saw the potential in him at an early age and knew his talent would be a lucrative investment, so she poured all her energy into him hoping one day when he grew up and made it to the NFL, that he would financially take care of her. She was a terrible parent.

  8. 1:11 “ Either they Don’t Know , Dont show , Or don’t care about what’s going on in the hood “ deepest line.

  9. The mother loved Ricky more than Doughboy because she like Ricky dad more. I think Ricky dad was around more with for example giving him the football. He probably paid her child support and Doughboy dad mostly likely hit it and quit it.

  10. What I didn't get is why did Ricky want to split up with Tre when both he and Tre were trying to escape from the gang of shooters in the car? What exactly was that plan? He was just walking along in a back alley scratching his lottery ticket despite knowing that the guys in the car were trying to kill him. Not realistic in any sense.
